Titicaca Lake is the highest navigable lake in the world and it is located between the countries of Peru and Bolivia, In this lake we can do the Tour Titicaca Lake Full Day.
It was inhabited by very important pre-Inca cultures and inside the lagoon, we can find Islands that are inhabited for hundreds of years between which there are the island of Amantani and the island of Taquile which still preserve customs and traditions of their ancestors, the Incas and Aymara.
This day begins with the pick-up from your hotel in the city of Puno, the tourists who arrive on the same day of the Tour by Bus Cusco to Puno, we will pick them up from the bus terminal and then we will go to the Port of Puno, here we will board the boat, after 30 minutes we will arrive to the Uros Island, an ancestral people of Aymara culture.
These Villagers live on artificial floating islands made from Totoras which is an aquatic plant which surrounds much of the island of Uros.
The inhabitants of Uros floating Islands show us how they despite the adverse weather were able to adapt to Peruvian highlands, The Uros inhabit these artificial islands for hundreds of years in which hunt bird, egg collections and fishing were the activities main ones to which they were engaged, today tourism is the main activity and for that reason they offer experiences and show the world how they developed and continue their life on Lake Titicaca.
After the visit of the island of the Uros, we will continue our visit on Lake Titicaca, after 2 hours of boat trip we will arrive to Taquile Island, one of the largest islands of Lake Titicaca.
Taquile is one of the most important islands of Lake Titicaca; because within it we can find people who still preserve customs and traditions of the Inca, period many visitors indicate that Taquile has a living culture within it. People who live on this island retain their colonial era clothing; the men of this island stand out make the tissues. Here we will have our lunch.
After this visit, we will board the boat that will take us back to the city of Puno. If you have your trip from Puno to Cusco by Tourist Bus at the end of the tour on the same day, we leave you near to bus terminal in Puno.
